A day to remember, Tuesday 17th of May, when the 5th and 6th class students from Eagles Nest, Tully, Lettergesh and Letterfrack National Schools visited the Connemara West Centre to celebrate Connemara West’s 50th birthday with an interactive tour of the Centre and some of the projects there. The students and their teachers planted flowers in the creche, made a radio programme on Connemara Community Radio, iced buns, learned about safety and made key rings in Youthreach Letterfrack and operated the laser printer in ATU Connemara. Our sincere thanks to our colleagues in ATU Letterfrack, Connemara Community Radio, Tigh nOg Community Creche, Youthreach Letterfrack and the Wild Goat Cafe for the great welcome they gave the children and their teachers and all the work they put into making the visit such an interesting and enjoyable one. Finally, what a lovely group of young people, it was such a pleasure having them with us and everyone really enjoyed the visit. The future is safe with these lovely young people and we look forward to making this a regular event.
